Installation View, 1998
Wood, terra-cota, pigment
Variable dimensions

These collaborators have produced a set of six cartoony, three-dimensional trees, each in its own terra-cotta pot on wheels. The leafless plants have serpentine trunks and limbs and are covered in a dark green feltlike fuzz. One appears to pass through a wall. They are comical and enigmatic (Ken Johnson, The New York Times, Art Guide, March 6, 1998).
